awards

Our model home won the Gold Award, Best Kitchen Award, and the Peoples Choice Award in the 2008 Homes of Enchantment Parade of Homes! The Parade of Homes is a contest in which we compete against other local builders to showcase the type of work we do. Our home is full of “green” features and is extremely energy efficient but at the same time is in an affordable price range. Here at Seagers Construction, LLC we concentrate on getting our customers what they want at the most reasonable price.

Kitchen

Kitchen

This is the “Best Kitchen Award” winning kitchen. The kitchen is a cooks delight with custom knotty alder wood cabinets, all stainless steel appliances, a giant kitchen island with a custom end grain maple wood butcher block, granite counter tops, a pot filler over the cook top, and a custom pot rack. This is more than a kitchen, it’s an experience!

Great Room

Great Room

The Great room features 18 foot high ceilings with a custom gas blower kiva fireplace. We used a variance plaster finish on the fireplace and it makes a great accent piece to complement the perfect great room and the kitchen. This is where the majority of our passive solar gain comes from and where you get the best views of three different mountain ranges.

Shoji Doors

Master Bedroom

We pride ourselves on the design and function of our home. The master bathroom is more like a spa retreat than a traditional bathroom. There is a heated Jacuzzi garden tub, separate walk in shower, and plenty of room to relax and enjoy the natural lighting from the custom glass block windows. The master bathroom entrance is marked with a custom Japanese shoji door hand crafted by Raymond Seagers.

Passive Solar

Passive Solar

This home is designed with a passive solar design to naturally heat the home in the winter and cool it off in the summer time. We used blown in cellulose insulation that is made of 100% recycled material and has a higher R value than traditional batt insulation. These features along with the ones listed below helped us to earn a HERS score of 57.

Energy Efficient

The in floor radiant heating system is run by a high efficiency boiler that does double duty as a boiler and water heater. There is a hot water recalculating pump so you don’t have to waste water waiting for the hot water to come out of faucets. In addition we have a 40 gal. batch solar water heater installed on our roof. We also installed 2 inches of Dow Styrofoam insulation below the concrete to keep the radiant heat in the home and away from the ground.

Additional Features

There are so many features and extra amenities it is difficult to list all of them. We used tongue and groove solid wood on the porch. There is a grey water system that recycles water from different sinks and recycles it for use in landscaping. We have also installed a rainwater catchment system which we use to capture 90% of the roof runoff. We use this water to irrigate our garden area in the back yard.
